Diagnosed with autism? Individual counselling and support for those affected by autism and their relatives
‘Like in the film Rain Man?’ I am often asked this question about the film from the 1980s when I talk about my work with people on the autism spectrum. I then have to explain that autism is very diverse in its manifestations and that every person has a unique personality and it does not always manifest itself like in the film. There is not just one type of autism, but many different facets.
This is why the challenges that can arise in connection with autism are also highly individualized.
Life in the neurotypical world presents many difficult, often incomprehensible challenges for people with autism, which places immediate demands on their social, family, school or work environment.
In my coaching sessions, I not only provide personalised caring advice to people on the autism spectrum and their social environment, but I also offer them professional support in everyday life thanks to my many years of experience in this field.
I offer individual counselling on the subject of autism for companies and educational institutions.
Every person deserves to be understood and supported in their uniqueness.
Consultation and Coaching
I support autistic people with or with or without ADHD and relatives and professionals with individual coaching sessions. My aim is to offer you practical help with autism in everyday life with professional expertise and a great deal of empathy.
In my counselling sessions, I work with you to develop individual strategies for typical everyday problems. These include, for example, being overwhelmed by sensory overload (such as bright lights, certain noises or odours) as well as social insecurities and challenges in interpersonal communication. I can help you deal with the authorities and with forms and applications to service providers.
I offer you empathic autism counseling at eye level, tailored to your individual needs. My appreciative coaching is aimed at:
- Mums and Dads of an autistic child.
- Those affected with or without a diagnosis.
All adults who would like counselling on the topic of autism, including for school and work.
